Our Summer Trip to Michigan

Last week, we returned from our 16 day trip back 'home' to Michigan. Since we didn't have a vacation planned for this summer and had a lot of to-dos and wants to be done in Michigan, we decided to make somewhat of a vacation out of it. Although, Rick wasn't able to spend the entire trip with us, we did have a couple of visits from him throughout the time.

We had lots and lots of summer fun! Everyday it was a must to end the day with either a dip in the pool or a bath. That's how I knew the kids were having a blast!

In a nutshell this was our trip:

But for blogging sake, here is alittle bit more of a detailed version....

We spent lots of time snuggling and relaxing

Helping Papa with his morning chores in our jammies

Patiently waiting to swim

Snugglin' a really really sweet baby poolside!

Enjoying the beautiful weather while everyone was happily content

Celebrating Kinsley's first 4th of July!

With a really cool Aunt that is creative and festive

Playing with sidewalk chalk

Rolling over for the first time

... & again!

Taking well needed naps whenever we felt it was necessary:

Playing with our friends who we miss sooo much! (more on this visit later!)

Being super happy:

Being fishies:

Eating lots of yummy goodies at Grandmas house:

Spending time with Daddy:

What would summer nights be without this?! Fire, s'mores and lots of laughs!

Uncle Ryan being silly with the kiddos! (So glad we got to visit with him!!!)

Silly picture with the boy!

Spending time with family at my cousins wedding:

Helping Mama out while I had to pack up our stuff to come home:

There was of course a million other things we did while in Michigan... such as playing at the park, shopping, getting some work done on our old house for the new renters, pool playdates with friends and with Aunt Shelbi and Caleb, and hanging out with Grandpa Bill. Most of these pictures are from my phone since my camera battery died a couple days after getting there. :(

So thankful that we had the time and were able to take this trip. Also, thankful my parents were so accommodating to us. You can never be too old to enjoy your own Mama and Dad cooking dinner for you and folding your laundry :)
